Ideal fluid vs real fluid

Ideal fluid are those fluid which have no viscosity , no Surface tension and incompressible.

Whereas real fluid have viscosity , surface tension and compressible.

All the fluid exist in our earth are real fluid.

But for understanding the basic and fundamental concepts of fluid mechanics,
We always use ideal fluid for concept development.

But those people who are doing research on fluid , they always real fluid with necessary condition for deriving original result.
